Hey y’all! Things have been super crazy and changed a lot since my last blog post, so here’s a little update. Due to COVID-19 there was a changed to my route, we were given a few options to chose from. The first, leaving in October as planned but stay in the states until safe to travel international. The second, launch in January 2021 with the possibility of going international. The third, leave in August 2021, or withdraw completely. After a lot of prayer and thought, I decided to wait and go in August 2021!!!

Extending this season of waiting for launch date hasn’t been the easiest. I am very much of a rip the bandaid off type of person. Lets do it now! Why wait for tomorrow?! This season has been very bitter sweet. I have struggled in the waiting season and often felt that I was behind in life since my life looks so different compared to those around me. But the Lord has so kindly reminded and shown me that life with Him will always look different. In this season of waiting I have seen how purposeful and intentional the Lord is, and how much He loves me. I have learned that God’s love surprises and surpasses all expectations. The Lord has slowly pieced things to gather, showing me the intent of my waiting season. 

So much has happened, yet I feel that not a lot has happened. I left a job around October 2020 and was able to visit family in Arizona for a hot minute! I am very thankful for the time I was allowed to spend with my cousins, aunt, and uncle. I would have never had the time to spend with them if I was following societies standards of what life should look like for a 21 year old. When I returned home I started working for PJ’s Coffee at the beginning of the year. I quickly found out that a former employee was on the World Race, and another employee is planning on going on Gap Year in September. Our owner and fellow employees have been super supportive towards us as well as plan on having a fundraiser day for us! I love being a barista and I’m super thankful the Lord opened the doors for me to work for PJ’s until I leave! 

Please be in prayer for me as I continue to prepare for this journey and launch date approaches. Pray that the Lord will guide me and continue to draw me closer to Him. I am eager, and excited to be used by Him through the preparation journey and the trip. Please remember my teammates as they prepare too. Please pray the Lord will continue to financially bless the funds needed to go. We can’t do it ourselves, but the Lord can. Thank y’all for y’all support and prayers!
