Hey y'all! Thank you for taking the time to follow along my journey on the World Race through this blog!

So why the World Race? Why not!!! My heart for missions began when I was fourteen after my first mission trip to Guatemala and has continued to grow since then. I also learned about the World Race around this time. When I learned about the World Race, it was like hearing about a journey that was meant specifically for me... I just had to wait about 6 years until I was old enough to go. 

Well, fast forward to present, I started attending a community college right after high school and started changing my major a LOT. And by a lot, I mean I was in the counselors office like every week. That lead to me struggling with the idea of even finishing. ( Spoiler! I am graduating in May with an Associates Degree! ) I felt the Lord tell me to stop asking for my whole life plan and just focus on what's next. So I began praying for my next. That's how I ended up here writing this blog. 

I knew the World Race was my next because when the idea came to me, it was followed by so much peace and excitement BUT I told God, literally, "Umm I gonna pray about this some more at Passion and I'll let you know." And I got smacked in the face with every sermon that was preached while there. God told me repeatedly, "Surrender," "Come follow me," and "Pick up your cross with no hesitation." Before I went to Passion I felt like the Lord was telling me to dance with Him, and it didn't make sense until I listened to a podcast where that phrase was broken down. When you picture two people dancing you see one leading and one following. Following and trusting the flow of steps of the leader while in rhythm with the music. Well, 2020 is the year I dance with the Lord! I can't wait to dance through every country following the Lord at the beat of His drum!

So why the World Race? Why not? Why not follow the Lord with no hesitation? Why not give Him your undivided attention for 11 months? Why not allow God to grow you? Why not allow God to challenge you? Why not allow God to fulfill your adventurous heart?
